English style utilizes a well pronounced even toned "normal" paced way of auctioneering as opposed to the "North American" fast paced auctioneering.
The auction itself runs at the same speed, however, the auctioneer is slower, very specific, and easier to understand. A gavel and block are customary along with verbal announcements for each winning bid.
